My partner, Sam, & I have amazing tasks! Sam & I met in college & connected immediately because of our mutual heart for medicine. Sam was about several years ahead of me in university, however it legitimately worked out perfect because we ended up graduating the same year. After graduating college, our partner had to complete his training to get his medical license. Once he was finished, Sam decided he wanted to travel the globe using his skills to help those who might otherwise never be treated. The two of us have “lived” in over numerous different countries now, & it has been more amazing than I could have ever dreamed our life would be. The two of us have helped thousands of people across the world, & I can’t thank God enough for this amazing opportunity. It’s not easy work, & we often don’t have the nice facilities to work in as we would in the States. One of the things I miss the most is air conditioner. Most of the countries we have worked in thus far have had either tropical temperatures or just down right sizzling temperatures! Most of the buildings we have worked in haven’t had air conditioner, however the building we are in now actual does! The two of us are beyond thankful for the couple air conditioners that we have & so are our patients. Many of our patients don’t have electricity or running water in their homes let alone air conditioner, so it’s always neat to see their reactions to the hospital having AC. In the end, Sam & I love what we do & the people that we get to serve, however it is always nice to have little first world blessings here & there love an air conditioned hospital.
